Welcome to the New illinoishsfootball.com

Big things come from small enrollments.

This site started in 2001 as a volunteer-run community hub for Illinois small-school football — the 1A and 2A programs the major papers rarely covered. It ran for about a year before the domain lapsed. It’s back now, rebuilt for 2026: still focused on small-school football, with the weekly rankings, recaps, and previews going up every week during the season — official IHSA poll standings, posted scores, and a wire of coverage from the local papers and broadcast desks around the state.

Full box scores, forum debates, and live chat live on our Facebook Page now instead of on-site — follow along there for the day-to-day conversation. This site is the record: rankings, recaps, and the archive.

First real weekly digest goes up once the season starts.
