About This Site

We believe small-school prep athletics deserve dedicated, statewide attention. This clearinghouse continuously monitors regional newspapers, local broadcast desks, and prep sports feeds across Illinois to surface 1A–3A game recaps and previews. We use automated decision filters and AI-assisted synthesis to catalog and link directly to the local reporters, photographers, and publications doing the real reporting from the sidelines.

The site itself started as a volunteer-run community page in 2001 and is back in a lower-maintenance form: official IHSA rankings and posted scores, plus a wire of coverage from around the state. The archive is the point — every digest stays up.

Day-to-day discussion and scores as they happen live on our Facebook Page. Got a correction, a score we missed, or a school we should be following? Get in touch.

How the wire works: regional feeds are monitored through the week; a classification pass keeps non-football and out-of-area items out; passing items are summarized into short entries that link to the original reporting. Weekly digests are assembled from the IHSA's official rankings and posted scores.
